Chess Finals Beckon For Fourth Graders

Students will be hoping for a check mate when they head to the national final of the Schackfyran competition. Classes 4F from Internationella Engelska Skolan Gävle and 4F from Internationella Engelska Skolan Eskilstuna will both be going forward to the chess contest’s finals in Västerås in June. Up With People – Bringing the world together
Friday, April 27, 2012 - 1:00pmFriday, April 27th 2012 our Senior School was visited by the organization Up With people. Approximately 20 youngsters (out of 120 from 22 different countries in the group) visited the school. The morning they spent with our grade 7 students holding seminars about minority and majority integration and the students also participated in a very appreciated dance lesson where they learnt a dance from Japan and one from Bermuda.
Silver in school Handball Championship

The International English School's handball team for girls grades 7-9 participated in school championship in Vilsta Hall on 25th April and took the silver medal.

Thursday, March 29, 2012 - 4:53pmThe Cup cake club met with representatives from Härberget and donated cup cakes. The Cup cake club is an initiative started by five students from 6E to support Härberget, a local shelter for homeless people in Eskilstuna.

Regional finals in Pythagoras Quest

We would like to congratulate three of our students for their wonderful achievement in this year’s Regional Finals in the Pythagoras Quest Math’s Competition. Anna Neu 8D, Douglas Persson 8F and Igor Parzyjagla 9C. Our team tied in points for first place but lost out in the timed event and they came away with the 2nd prize of 3000kr! All in all a wonderful achievement and we look forward to next year´s challenge! Our school was also mentioned in an article about Pythagoras quest on the news site Affärsliv. Read more
Success in Schackfyran
Tuesday, March 27, 2012 - 4:43pmOur students from grade 4 gathered at Slottsskolan in Eskilstuna to participate in the city final in Schackfyran. They had all been looking forward to this and practised diligently. The 10 highest placed teams from the city final move on to the district final for Södermanland, and we can proudly announce that out of these 10 teams 6 are from our school! Congratulations to our talented students!

Our students gathered at the Vilsta Sports & Recreational center for the annual Winter Sports Day. 
Due to the unexpected thaw, the day’s activities skiing and other winter sports that depend on having snow were exchanged for more suitable activities.
The students were able to participate in soccer, softball and there were also some very exciting games of kubb. Read more
