Graduation Ceremony 2018/2019

Education is the key to progress, development and growth!

Despite all the challenges we face as an Educational institution, IES Eskilstuna has once again proven that there are no boundaries when it comes to establishing the foundations of quality and inclusive education in Sweden.

Another generation has successfully set the basis of its future as citizens and members of this community.

Class of 2018/2019, congratulations!

Don´t Worry Be Happy - Junior School 2019

Don’t Worry, Be Happy

“Don’t worry, be happy” is a wonderful project completed by the students of the Junior School of IES Eskilstuna. They sang and played the instruments themselves guided by their music teachers Ms. Engvall and Mr. Jelic. The music video was shot both at the Primary/Junior and Senior schools and several other locations in Eskilstuna.
Students, keep up the good work!

Student's Choice (film group) 2019

Student's Choice (film group) 2019

Film Student Choice

This is the second year that 9 grade students participate in the Film Student Choice led by Mr. Arslan. It is a place where students can discuss, engage in different activities and use their creativity and skills to come up with ideas for their final project. A video shot and edited solely by them. As last year, this year’s group came up with a video project shot throughout the year portraying the atmosphere, the staff and their fellow students in the school.
We are more than proud to present our students’ Film project!
Enjoy!

Talent Show 2019

Just before our students went on a well deserved break in February, we ended with some of our students exhibiting their talents at our annual talent show. The grand prize was a song and music video that will be posted on Social media and Youtube which was won by Tamara Abood from 9A with an outstanding performance of an Alicia Keys song!

Enjoy

ECO Friends

ECO Friends

Year 4 have been visiting Eco Friends as a collaboration between Eskilstuna Energi och Miljö and Parken Zoo. We learned how the water gets cleaned and how our usage of water effects the nature and the animals. We learned about how our choices of living have a direct impact on the biodiversity of animals. Therefore, we all need to help out to create a more sustainable environment.

Junk Hunt, IES Eskilstuna Primary/Junior School

Junk Hunt, IES Eskilstuna Primary/Junior School

During Weeks 19 and 20, teachers were asked to choose a lesson or break to pick up trash around the schoolyard or close neighbourhood with their mentor class. It was lovely to see everyone out with their classes helping to tidy up our neighbourhood. We also encouraged our students to reflect, and come up with creative tips for reducing litter (trash on the ground). Thank you so much for your participation!

We will now take part in a larger national contest by "Håll Sverige Rent" ("Keep Sweden Tidy") where the trash will be counted and also sorted.
